How We Collect, Use and Protect Your Personal Information

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains how All In Alignment collects, uses, stores and shares personal information when you visit the Her Inspired Journey website, contact us, join our email community, make a purchase, complete a questionnaire or register for an event, program or retreat.

1. Who We Are

Her Inspired Journey is created and operated by All In Alignment, a partnership registered in Alberta, Canada. References to “Her Inspired Journey,” “All In Alignment,” “we,” “us” and “our” refer to All In Alignment and its partners, Anita Adrain and Cheryl Viczko.

We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian and Alberta privacy laws, including Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act where it applies.

2. Personal Information We May Collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with us and may include:

  • Identity and contact information: your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address and account information.
  • Registration information: the event, room category, program, membership or service you select and details required to administer your participation.
  • Transaction information: payment status, amount, date, purchase history and limited billing information. Payment-card or account details are generally collected and processed by the payment provider rather than stored directly by us.
  • Communication information: messages, emails, support requests, survey responses, testimonials and other information you choose to share with us.
  • Retreat and participation information: dietary needs, allergies, accessibility requirements, emergency-contact information and information required to support your safe participation.
  • Questionnaire information: responses you voluntarily provide through Five Element, retreat, program or reflection questionnaires.
  • Marketing preferences: whether you have asked to receive or stop receiving promotional communications.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser, device, login activity, pages viewed, referring website and general website-usage information.

3. How We Collect Information

We may collect personal information:

  • Directly from you when you complete a form, questionnaire, registration or purchase.
  • When you create or use an account through our website or learning platform.
  • When you contact us by email, telephone, social media or another communication channel.
  • Through cookies, analytics and similar technologies when you use our website.
  • From payment processors, website platforms and other service providers involved in completing your request.
  • From another person when a retreat registration is formally transferred to you.

4. How We Use Personal Information

We may use personal information to:

  • Process purchases, registrations, transfers and payment plans.
  • Provide products, courses, memberships, events, retreats and other services.
  • Confirm your registration and communicate important event or program information.
  • Assign rooms, organize groups and thoughtfully prepare retreat experiences.
  • Respond to questions, requests and customer-support inquiries.
  • Accommodate disclosed dietary, accessibility and participation requirements where reasonably possible.
  • Maintain transaction, accounting, tax and business records.
  • Operate, secure, maintain and improve our websites and online services.
  • Send marketing communications when permitted by law and your communication preferences.
  • Protect our legal rights, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.

Five Element and retreat questionnaire responses are used to help us thoughtfully prepare the retreat and consider each woman’s strengths and experience. They are not used to provide a medical or psychological diagnosis.

5. Consent and Limiting Collection

We collect, use and disclose personal information only for reasonable purposes and only to the extent reasonably necessary for those purposes. Consent may be express or implied, depending on the nature of the information and the circumstances.

You may withdraw consent to certain uses of your information by contacting us. Withdrawal may not affect information already processed and may be limited where information is required to complete a transaction, provide a requested service, meet a legal obligation or maintain necessary business records.

6. Dietary, Accessibility and Wellness Information

To support safe and inclusive participation, we may ask for limited information about dietary requirements, allergies, accessibility needs or other relevant considerations. Please provide only the information reasonably necessary for us to understand and respond to your request.

This information may be shared only with people who reasonably need it to prepare or deliver your experience, such as the retreat venue, chef, hosts or an appropriate facilitator.

7. Email and Marketing Communications

We may send transactional or service-related messages necessary to administer your purchase, registration, account, program or retreat. These messages are different from promotional marketing.

We send promotional emails in accordance with applicable Canadian anti-spam requirements. You may unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the message or contacting us at hello@allinalignment.com.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending confirmations, payment notices, policy updates or other information required to deliver a product, program or event for which you registered.

8. When Information May Be Shared

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share limited information with:

  • Website, course and account-platform providers, including Zenler.
  • Payment processors, including PayPal or another provider selected at checkout.
  • Email, file-storage, video-hosting, analytics and technical-service providers.
  • Retreat venues, chefs, facilitators and service providers when information is reasonably required to prepare or deliver your experience.
  • Professional advisers such as accountants, insurers or lawyers where reasonably necessary.
  • Government, regulatory or law-enforcement authorities when disclosure is legally required.
  • A successor organization if all or part of the business is reorganized, transferred or sold, subject to applicable privacy obligations.

We share only the information reasonably required for the service being provided and expect service providers to handle it appropriately.

9. Processing Outside Alberta or Canada

Some website, payment, email, analytics, storage and technology providers may process or store information outside Alberta or outside Canada.

When information is processed in another jurisdiction, it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction and may be accessible to courts, law-enforcement or regulatory authorities in accordance with those laws.

10. Information Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we hold. No internet transmission or electronic-storage method is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

11. How Long We Keep Information

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet legal, accounting, tax, insurance, dispute-resolution and recordkeeping requirements.

When information is no longer reasonably required, we may securely delete, destroy or anonymize it.

12. Photography, Video and Testimonials

Events may include photography or video. Where appropriate, information about event photography will be provided separately, and additional permission or a media release may be requested before identifiable images, recordings or personal stories are used for promotional purposes.

We will not publish an identifiable testimonial submitted privately without permission. You may withdraw permission for future use by contacting us, although we may not be able to recall materials already printed, distributed or lawfully published.

13. Accessing or Correcting Your Information

Subject to applicable law, you may ask to:

  • Access personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Ask how your information has been used or disclosed.
  • Withdraw consent where consent may lawfully be withdrawn.
  • Ask a question or raise a concern about our privacy practices.

We may request information reasonably necessary to confirm your identity before responding. Access may be limited where required or permitted by law, including where disclosure would reveal another person’s personal information.

14. Cookies and Website Analytics

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to operate essential features, remember preferences, understand website use and support analytics or marketing. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, although disabling some cookies may affect website functionality. Please review our Cookie Policy for additional information.
